The third and final trailer for Justice League is out. The Warner Bros. and DC Films superheroes extravaganza is releasing November 17. Going by the new trailer and the kind of online frenzy it has generated, one can safely say the film is due for a phenomenal opening.
What becomes evident at the very start of the trailer is the fact that Clark Kent | Superman (Henry Cavill) is really no more – or maybe not!
Lois Lane (Amy Adams) is seen in a dream sequence approaching Clark Kent in a field who turns around and says, “I’ll take that as a ‘yes’” and refers to “the ring.” The dream changes to show her throwing dirt on a grave, presumably Kent’s. She wakes up to the news of Superman’s death (Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice).
Justice League is the fallout of “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
Bruce Wayne | Batman (Ben Affleck) and Diana Princess | WW are preparing to fight off an invasion of an unprecedented kind – Parademons are attacking in overwhelming numbers – in swarms literally – Justice Leagues’ ultimate villain Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds), presumably, behind the doomsday-like incursion.
Wayne and Princes recruit the Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) to form Justice League but the enemy is extremely powerful and the odds are stacked against the superheroes – Justice League has its work cut out.
The epic battle sequences make for some awesome viewing. Every available special effects trick in the book has been employed, it appears.
An abridged version of the Justice League trailer, with a couple of new scenes though, was uploaded on Instagram. The most notable addition is a longer version of the conversation between the Flash and Batman
